Volunteer Opportunities in the Community

The Power of Partnership

There are many organizations in Marion and Polk counties in need of volunteers. These are opportunities that both help their causes and enrich our lives. The Medical Society partners with many of these organizations demonstrating the true power of partnership.  Below are some that we recommend...

Marion Polk Food Share: Food sorting, community gardens, youth farm, Meals on Wheels

Salem Free Clinics: Medical providers and office volunteers are needed

Salem Harvest: Help pick fruits and vegetables that would otherwise be left on the tree/vine! Collections go to local agencies...plus you get to keep some of it!

Family Building Blocks: This highly impactful charity helps young families with essential services, counseling and childcare items. This relief nursery has 9 locations around the Salem area, so there's plenty of opportunity to volunteer. Can't volunteer? Attend one of their fundraising events.
