Virtual Conversation:

Black leadership in US health care

America finds itself in a unique period of protests, civil unrest and a renewed focus on police violence. This is occurring in the middle of a public health crisis and an economic contraction unlike anything in generations.

On Friday, June 19th, State of Reform will host three of the most thoughtful senior health care executives and health care leaders across the Western United States. They will discuss their experience working to transform US health care, their experience as African American leaders, and the role the health care sector can play to address structural inequality and racism in American society.

*This event is hosted by State of Reform and is free and open to the public.

Panelists:

  • Eric Hunter: President and CEO, CareOregon
  • Hon. Garnet F. Coleman: Member, Member, Texas House Select Committee on Statewide Health Care Costs
  • Demetria Malloy, MD: Senior/Plan Performance Medical Director, Anthem Blue Cross, California
