Join us for a time of socializing and engagement with members of MPCMS. For 2024, our theme is to build partnerships with community-based organizations.  By learning about them, volunteering and promoting their causes we are both empowered by these experiences. We look forward to visiting with representatives from Marion Polk Food Share, Salem Free Clinics and the Oregon Wellness Program.

There will be an opportunity for guests to donate food to the Marion-Polk Food Share. We are hoping to fill a barrel!  Please bring a jar of peanut butter OR a can of shelf-stable fruit. Also, there will be a raffle for a prize basket. Raffle tickets will be $10 each, and all proceeds will be donated to Marion-Polk Food Share. A $10 donation provides 30 meals!

Keynote Speaker: Dr. R. Logan Jones, MD, FACP is an Assistant professor of Medicine at OHSU in the Dept of Internal Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine. He has an active scholarly portfolio on topics of competency-based medical education, health policy & advocacy, and applications of technologies to facilitate medical education and practice. Coming from a background of technology consulting positions, Dr. Jones has taken an interest in the rapid evolution of Artificial intelligence and is focused on helping the medical community understand what these technologies are, how they can be used to accomplish tasks, and cautioning the need for thoughtful and ethical adoption of these technologies.

Cost: The event is FREE to Medical Society members and guests. Nonmember registration is $75. We can't wait to see you there!
